Dear CSPA skydivers,

As we turn a corner into 2024, the CSPA National Office and Board of Directors have continued to look at ways of modernizing the Association, so that we can provide new platforms and opportunities for the membership.

We’ve received regular feedback that many of you are moving to using digital platforms. As a result, effective April 1, 2024, CSPA will move to full digitization regarding affiliation cards. This means that you will no longer receive a hardcopy of your CSPA card.

In addition to environmental benefits, this also allows us to reallocate financial costs such as supplies, equipment, software, and postage, towards other programs and resources.

What this means for you moving forward:

  1. If you renew your affiliation online, you can immediately download a copy of your PDF card from your account. You can then save this PDF for ease of future access, or log into your account whenever you require it. If you are not familiar with this process, there are instructions on our website.
  2. If you renew your affiliation by sending your information and payment to the National Office, you will receive an email PDF of your card when your payment is processed.
  3. Ratings holders, once your ratings are processed, you will receive an email PDF of your card. Note, for those familiar with the system, we are exploring to see if a partnership with Merit is feasible.
  4. Account holders without an email address, the National Office will print the PDF of your card and mail it to you, but it will be in paper format only.

We appreciate that this sounds like a tremendous change, but we look forward to your cooperation in modernizing the Association and look forward to announcing other new projects as they come!
