About the WIC

The Women’s Initiatives Committee (WIC) was established as an ad-hoc committee to address Sport Canada guidelines aimed at increasing female participation in skydiving. The WIC is dedicated to not only recruiting new female participants but also retaining current members by offering training and development opportunities.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Funding Opportunities for Women in Skydiving: Providing financial support to encourage and sustain women’s involvement in the sport.
  • Mentorship Programs: Facilitating connections between new participants and experienced skydivers to offer guidance and support throughout their skydiving progression.
  • INSPIRE Conference and Seminars: Creating a platform, accessible to all skydivers, where women can share their experiences, passion, and dedication to mentoring others. This initiative aims to provide all skydivers with the knowledge, mentorship, and inspiration to excel in their personal journeys within the sport.
  • Cultivating a Safe and Inclusive Skydiving Community: Upholding CSPA PIM 5’s Policy and Procedures Standards of Integrity to ensure a safe and positive environment. WIC is committed to making individuals aware of the expectations for appropriate behavior, consistent with CSPA’s core values.

The WIC strives to foster an inclusive and supportive community, ensuring that all female skydivers have the resources, support, and inspiration they need to thrive in the sport.
