"D" CoP


Introduction

The holder of a "D" CoP may:

  • choose not to wear protective headwear as per BSR 2.4 and Technical Recommendation 3.9
  • participate in a CSPA Course Conductor seminar after 1000 jumps have been accumulated

Prerequisites

TASKS

SIGNING OFFICER

Completed 10 consecutive pre-planned canopy standup landings to within 5 m of target

  

C2, IB, QE, Judge

Completed two of the following five tasks:
  • 5 FS 4 way jumps, score 7 points within 35 seconds of exit OR on 5 FS 8 way jumps, score 7 points within 50 seconds from exit. Either case requires using 5 different FAI formations per jump
 

C2, IB, Submit Video, FS Judge
  • Style series in less than 11.5 seconds

C2, IB, QE, Judge
  • 2 way freefly with interactive camera consisting of exit move, spock, monkeyflip, spock, eagle, transition, dock, transition, dock, end move in 40 seconds or less
 

Submit Video
  • 5 CF 4 way jumps with 8 rotations within 2 min 30 sec of aircraft exit

C2, JM, IA
  • Less than 5 cm scored on an electronic scoring pad on 5 precision accuracy jumps

C2, IB, QE, Judge

Competed at a regional, provincial or national competition in one discipline

C2, IB, QE, Judge

Completed 500 jumps and accumulated 180 minutes (3 hr) of freefall time

IB, CA

Achieved a pass mark of a least 80% on a written exam administered by a CSPA CA

Evaluations

The evaluations for this CoP are completed by the Signing Officer listed for the appropriate task. These requirements must be witnessed and signed in the logbook by the Coach/Instructor who has the proper rating. During processing of the application, the logbook entries are reviewed with special attention being paid to the specific practical qualifications for this certificate. A submitted video is required for the 2way freefly and/or the 4way FS.

Practical Skills

The practical skills that are observed are meant to demonstrate competent ability in more than one discipline of skydiving.

Endorsements

There are no additional endorsements for the D CoP because all endorsements must have been completed and signed off for the C CoP.

Technical Knowledge

The technical knowledge evaluated for this CoP is done during the written examination. Please check the study guide for this CoP to help with exam preparation.

Contact a Certificate Administrator (CA), so as to determine if requirements and qualifications have been met, prior to applying for a CoP. Each member group normally has at least one CA.
