Novice Challenge:
The Competition & National Teams Committee (CNTC) is launching a new competition aimed at the Solo Skydiver. This competition is set up to enable any Solo licenced skydiver to compete by themselves at their home drop zone using the student gear that they are used to.
The competition will run through most of the skydiving season and individuals may compete by themselves and send in the necessary documents and video to the CNTC. The person who is the winner will be showcased in our national magazine Canpara. We ask that you complete all of the forms and also answer the questions in the short questionaire which is used for information for the magazine should you be the winner. The CNTC will accept submissions throughout the year, final deadline for submission is September 30th each year.
The competition is open to all skydivers who have not yet received their “A” CoP. The idea is to promote competition and to allow new skydivers a venue that does not already exist. It is designed to introduce a competitive spirit and a sense of accomplishment. All of the jumps are designed to be part of the recognized progression and at no time should any person be encouraged to perform beyond their level of training.
The competition will consist of four events. There will be five rounds of Accuracy and one round each of Style, FS and Packing.
All competition jump requirements will be guided by BSR’s and the limits of the SOLO certificate.
The jumps should be set so that they can also be used as part of the “A” licence requirements.
